Your evening begins with a visit to the peaceful village of Karouzana, surrounded by the beauty of the Cretan countryside. You will take a short walk through its narrow streets and feel the warm welcome of the local people. It’s the perfect way to connect with the traditions and everyday life of Cretan culture. As the sun goes down, the tables fill with a rich variety of Cretan dishes. You will enjoy food made with local ingredients such as fresh meat, Cretan cheeses, pure olive oil, and seasonal vegetables – all from the heart of the Cretan land. This is more than a meal – it’s a real Cretan feast! You will also taste local wine and try traditional drinks that are part of every Cretan celebration. During the evening, you will hear the sounds of the famous Cretan lyra – the traditional music instrument of Crete. Talented dancers dressed in traditional costumes will perform Cretan and Greek folk dances that have been passed down through generations. And of course – you can join in! The dancers will teach you simple steps so you can dance like Zorba and enjoy the fun with everyone.
